My Aalim Course - II

In previous blog i mentioned about my Aa'lim course teacher Hazrat Allama Maulana Hafiz-o-Qari Mufti Muhammed Ali Noori Madzil'lahuA'ali.I thought i should write down something about my teacher and his teachers.

Mufti Sahab is a graduate of Jamia Naeemia,Muradabad UP,which was founded by Khalifa of AalaHazrat & Writer of KhazainulIrfan ala KanzulImaan,Mufti Naeemuddin Muradabadi AlaihRahma.Mufti Sahab was taught by best scholars of his time like Mufti Tahseen Raza Khan Sahab,Allama Mobeenuddin Muhaddis Amrohvi,Mufti Muhammed Hashim Sahab etc.

while teaching me, Mufti Sahab tells about himself & his teachers.There were around 35 students in his class.during final examination of Sharah Waqaya,the examiner didnt ask the students to read the Arabic text or to translate it but asked them the practical way of doing 'Tayammum',only Mufti sahab was able to told the correct way and was given 110 out of 100 marks!

While Mufti sahab was studying in Jamia Naeemia,a classmate by mistake hit him on his ear.This caused deafness to one ear.He went to a docter for checkup,Docter said your ear drum has been damaged and it requires operation at Delhi.Mufti being from a very poor family couldn't afford the treatment.He took the bus to Barielly Shareef to meet his Shaikh Sarkar Mufti Azam Hind Mufti Mustafa Raza Khan.When he reached,Mufti Azam hind was sitting calmly,he went to him and started crying,Mufti Azam hind said 'Ghabrao nahin kuch nahin hoga' and recited wazaifs and blew thrice in Mufti Sahab's ear.Mufti Sahabs says,while on bus back to Jamia,his damaged ear healed and it started functioning normally.

Mufti Sahab was head of speech clubs (Anjumans) at Jamia Naeemia & DarulUloom Manzar-e-Islam.He was made assistant teacher while studying itself.When Mufti Sahab was in final year at Jamia Naeemia,Mufti Muhammed Aazam Sahab from Manzare-Islam barielly Shareef,came for examinations.After the examination Mufti Muhammed Azam went to the principle and said 'Muhammed Ali is ours,we would like to take him to Barielly Shareef',Principle tried to hold back Mufti Sahab but couldn't.

Mufti Sahab narrates about the day when he reached the barielly shareef,he was very poor,wearing very cheap Kurta Pajama,that too torn from many places,he stepped down from Riksha.At first when the students saw him they started laughing,they asked Mufti Muhammed Azam,who is this fellow,he said he is your new teacher,listening to this students were astonished.Mufti Muhammed Azam said let him teach you then you will understand his extent of knowledge.Mufti Sahab says there were few teachers who were against him,hence they would give hard questions to students to be asked in classroom.Alhumdulillah every time Mufti Sahab used to give such an excellent answer that would amaze even his enemies.

In his first year itself Mufti Sahab was given books like Sharah Jaami,Noorul Anwar etc.People who are related to Madrasa know that these are such high ranking books that only when a fellow have of experience,they are asked to taught these books,that too in a Jamia which is Markaz of AhleSunnat.Within a few years Mufti Sahab was made Naa'ib Shiekhul Hadees(Assistant Professor of Hadees) of Manzare Islam teaching Mishkat Shareef,Tirmizi & Muslim shareef.

Later he joined Jamia Islamia Khaleel-ul-Uloom at Sambhal as Shiekhul Maaqu'lat (Professor of Logic) and then moved to Darul Uloom Muhammadiya Hanafia,Amroha as Shiekhul Hadees(Professor of Hadees).Though this madrasa was very old but still only classes till 4 were taught.Mufti Sahab worked very hard to raise the status of Madrasa and within 3 years Daura-e-Hadees(MA in Islamic theology) was started.Wali-e-Kaamil Haji Mubeenuddin Qibla AlaihRahma was present and blessed the Madrasa.Still full course is taught in this Madrasa.

In 1990's,Mufti Sahab came to Bangalore.Madrasa Nooria was among the main sunni madarsa's of city,Mufti Sahab joined the Madrasa and classes of Dars-e-Nizami were started.Madrasa Nooria transformed into Al-Jamiaut-un-Nooria.During his stay at Jamia Nooria,he acted as shiekhul Hadees as well as Mufti and wrote many Fatwas.

Mufti Sahab has written some important books too like Noorani Khutbat(Set of speeches for young Scholars),Fatwe Ki LalKaar Qazi-e-Sha'ra Hoshiyaar(regarding increasing case of Khula in Karnataka),At-Tabayyanul Ahsan Sharah Mulla Hasan(Mulla Hasan is one the hardest book in Logic,so hard that even some of the high ranking madrasa have removed it from syllabus due to nonavailability of teachers to teach it).He is planning to write commentary over Bukhari called Khulasatul Bukhari and Noorul Anwar(A high ranking book of Usul-ul-Fiqh as per Hanafi School of thought).

Now something about Mufti Sahab's teachers:

SadrulUlema Mufti Tahseen Raza Khan AlaihRahma was grand son of Allama Hasan Raza Khan(brother of Imam Ahmad Raza AlihRahma).After completing his Aalimiyat from DarulUloom ManzareIslam,he went to Muhaddis-e-Azam Mufti Sardar Ahmad Qadri for Daura-e-Hadees and got Sanad-e-Hadees from him.in 1957,while returning to Barielly Shareef,Mufti Sardar Ahmad Sahab gave a letter for Mufti-e-Azam Hind.The letter said ''I find Tahseen miyan more inclined towards Hadees hence i request you to give hadees books to him for teaching''.Mufti Tahseen Raza Khan sahab taught at DarulUloom Manzar-e-Islam,DarulUloom Mazhar-e-Islam and in later years at Jamiat-ur-Raza(founded by TajushSharia Mufti Akhtar Raza Khan Sahab).From 1957 to 2007,for 50 years he gave Dars-e-Hadees.This bright star of Sunniyat met his Almighty in a car accident on pious day of Friday,near Nagpur.His blessed body was taken to Barilley Shareef where Mufti Akhtar Raza Khan Sahab led his funeral prayer.

Allama Haji Mubeenuddin Muhaddis Amrohwi AlaihRahma,was a living saint to of his times.He was one of the best students of SadrushSharia Mufti Amjad Ali Azmi AlaihRahma,whose name he mentioned in his book Bahar-e-Shariat Volume 4,the encyclopedia of Hanafi Fiqh.Mufti Azam Hind had great love for him and used call him a Wali.Till now a sweet smell can be found around is Grave in Amroha,UP.My teacher studied Sharah Jami under him.
With Haji Mubeenuddin Qibla I'm connected to Imam Ahmad Raza Khan with 3 persons in chain & to SadrushSharia with 2 persons in chain.

Muhammed Kashif Attari -> Mufti Muhammed Ali -> Allama Mubeenuddin Qibla -> SadrushSharia Mufti Amjad Ali Azmi -> Aalahazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan.

Khateeb-ul-Hind Allama Mufti Muhammed Hashim Sahab is present principle of Jamia Naeemia,Muradabad.He taught Tafseer Baidawi and other books of Dars-e-Nizami.While teaching me Tafseer Baidawi Mufti Sahab often tell how beutifully Allama Hashim Sahab taught the book to them.
