My Mufti Course...

Just thought of sharing something regarding my Mufti Course.Alhumdulillah its going smooth, except that it requires lots and lots of studying and hard work.The hardwork I put in for Aalim course was more than what I put in my engineering studies,and now I am putting more handwork than aalim course!Studying upto 2-3am has become a normal thing now.This can be understood as I used to study only at exam time during engineering,then used to study till 1am during Aalim course and now its around 3am,almost everyday.

Usually Ifta course is of 2 years duration but I have requested mufti Sahab to complete it within a year.This directly resulted in more work & more muta'ala.Initially i found it really very difficult to write the answers,but as the course is progressing, i find myself comfortable.

We are covering the chapters as per chapter usually arranged in Fiqh Books.I have to refer Fatawa Shami(Raddul Muhtar),Fatawa Alamgere,Badai-us-Sanai,Fathul Qadeer, Inaya, Binaya, Maraqi al-falah along with Urdu Fatawa like Fatawa Razwiya,Bahar-e-Shariat,Fatawa Amjadiya, Fatawa Faizur Rasool,Fatawa Faqeeh Millat,Fatawa Barkatia,Fatawa Hamidiya, Fatawa Mustafviya etc. time to time, to write answers.I am required to answer around 10 questions per week,making around 500 in full course.Since I have most of the Arabic & Urdu fatawa books personally, I need not sit longer hours at Darul Ifta to refer books,though for Tafseer books I have to go there.Presently we are in Kitab-ul-Haj,alhumdulillah.

Its really interesting to see how old concepts of Fiqh are applied to solve current issues like present day banking,Share market etc.

I would like to advice all those who are interested in doing ifta to broaden their fiqh knowledge as much as possible this would really help in the course.I have so many books on Namaz only(My parents used to shout for buying the book on same topic) but now,I can understand thier usefulness.People who are really crazy about Fiqh should only enter into Ifta,as it takes hours & hours to find a single sentence for a ruling from several Arabic fatwa books ranging unto 12 volumes,and you are shattered when you show your answer to your teacher and he marks it wrong!.

It happened with me,I was searching for ruling on a person who says 'ALLAH azzawajal didnt give Sarkar SallallahuAlaihWassalam even an iota of Ilm-e-Gaib'.I searched most of the Fatawa books but couldn't find the exact ruling,even in my dreams i saw books.In dream I saw that a book below hadees book is having the ruling about this but as i was going to pick that up my ammi woke me up for Fajr!Finally I got the ruling in newly printed 'Fatawa BahrulUloom'.I wrote my answer and took it to Mufti sahab....and it was rejected! aah i was shattered....thought of jumping from Idara-e-Sharia building :P

Ihya Academy - Online Islamic Academy

Alhumdulillah,with the grace of ALLAH azzawajal & blessings of his beloved Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him),a dream which i had, is going to be materialize soon,inshahALLAH.

Ihya Academy will be starting the free Islamic Studies course from 1st oct 2010,11pm-12mn IST.Initial focus will be on Arabic grammar followed by classical texts taught in DarulUloom in Fiqh,Tafseer,Hadees,Usul etc.

Application have started pouring in from far and wide like South Africa & Maldives.I dream of having educated young men having deep understanding of Deen,indeed i have made an intention that I would make at least 12 Scholars.

My Cat died.

This is blog is not for discussing these things,but still writing it down to share my sadness with you.

On Thursday 19/8/2010,our beloved cat Neon died.He was killed by dogs in night.We took Neon in Jan 2010,when even his eyes were not open,we saw him grow in front of our eyes.He was loved by everyone in home.Our family would talk about him to everyone,talking about his acts and activities.

His everyday activity included,waking up at Fajr.Though he would wake up but still keep lying at his bed.When he would see my mom waking up,then he would also wake up and start doing mischievous things.While going to Sajda in Namaz he would often jump on to our head.Then he would drink some milk,eat biscuits and go out of home.He would return to home within 1-2 hours and go to sleep and would wake up by Asar.After taking his meal,occasionally he would again go out and come back soon.

But on Thursday night,he had his dinner of meat & milk,played in home for sometime and then quietly went outside.I heard the noise of cat crying at around 1 am at night,but thought its coming from somewhere else.In morning after fajr i tried looking out for him but couldn't find.My mom was worried she went to people staying in ground floor and asked them about Neon.It was then that they informed Neon is killed by dogs.My mom couldn't control her emotions and started crying.She later called me & my brother.My brother returned from college and brought the dead body of neon to home.We couldn't control ourselves and started crying.After Asar,dad was also informed about Neon death.He was placed in a cloth and my brother took it to bury him at Ulsoor Muslim Graveyard.

I pet Neon to follow Sunnat of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would lower the bowl of water for his cat and after cat had drunk he would use the same water for ablution.

There is another hadees,where hareesa a food made up of meat & flour was sent to Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him)'s wife Mother of believers Hazrat Aisha Siddiqua(may ALLAH be please with her).She was praying and a cat came and started eating it.After the prayer Hazrat Aisha called her neighborhood friends to eat hareesa.Her friends ate it but avoided the area from where cat ate,seeing this Hazrat Aisha ate from the same place from where cat ate and said that I have heard Prophet Muhammed(peace be upon him) saying:Cat is not impure.

These hadees clearly shows the love of Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) and his wife towards cat.

The greatest companion of Prophet Mohammad(peace be upon him) Hazrat Abu Huraira also loved cats very much.He had a small cat with him when Prophet Muhammad saw the cat with him he called him "O! Abu Hurairah! meaning "father of small cat".This name became so famous that people forgot his original name Abdul Rahman.

We can not forget Neon,we still remember him,we still weep,my mom weeps even more,his bed is empty,his food is lying in kitchen and his bowl is still filled with milk.May ALLAH azzawajal give us the sab'r and sawab.

Mission Complete!

Alhumdulillah the journey which started years back has come to its manzil.With the grace of ALLAH azzawajal,blessings of his beloved Prophet Muhammed SallallahuAlaihWassalam and dua's of my peer-o-murshid Ameer-e-AhleSunnat & barkat of Madni Mahaul I was awarded Dastar-e-Fazilat at Karnataka's finest sunni DarulUloom,Jamia Razvia Shah Aleem Diwan,Shimoga by blessed hands of Munazir-e-AhleSunnat,Nashir-e-Maslak-e-Aalahazrat Mufti AmanurRab Sahab Qibla (Head Darul Ifta,Gonda UP) in front of Akabir Mufti-e-Karaama and Ulema-o-Mashaikh at Sunni Jamia Masjid,Gandhi Bazar Shimoga.

I have been given Ijaza in Tafseer,Hadees & Fiqh and other traditional sciences to narrate & transmit them from Shiekhul Hadees,Qazi-ul-Quza,Chief Justice Mufti Maqsood Aalam Sahab Qibla damatbarakatahumA'aliya(Khalifa of Huzur TajushSharia Mufti Akhtar Raza Khan Sahab Qibla,Barielly Shareef).The sanad reaches Prophet Muhammed Sallallahu Alaih Wassalam, alhumdulillah ala ahsanihi.

I reached Shimoga on 23rd July morning for Examination.first i went to Sunni Muhammadiya Masjid,Ragigudda were my friend Maulana Hamid Raza is doing imamat.He as usual gave warm welcome to me.We had breakfast together and then I headed towards Jamia.Mufti Sahab asked me to come tomorrow as it was Friday and holiday for Jamia.

Ragigudda is small village near Shimoga town railway station,the village has its own small river where villagers wash clothes and utensils.As its rainy season the greenery was everywhere.

Next day on 24 July,Maulana Hamid Raza came with me to Jamia and went after sometime,as he had to lead Zohar at his Masjid.

I was examined by Mufti Maqsood Aalam Sahab in Hadees & Fiqh.Alhumdulillah I could answer most of his questions,and why not I am the student of Shiekhul Maqoolat -o- Manqoolat,Sabiq Na'ib Shiekhul Hadees Jamia Razwiya Manzare-e-Islam Barielly Shareef Mufti Muhammed Ali Sahab Noori.

Afterward i came back to Ragigudda.Next morning i.e. 25 July,Dawat-e-Islami Muballigheen from Bangalore reached RagiGudda,they came to attend Dastarbandi & to give dawat for forthcoming Dawat-e-Islami's grand ijtima at Bangalore on 1st August 2010.

Maulana Hamid had to leave for home as his mother wasnt well and was hospitalized.After he is gone,Muballigheens also started for TeriKera,a small village 1 hour from Shimoga for delivering bayan,neki ki dawat and Ijtima dawat.I was alone at Masjid,Maulana Hamid Raza asked me to lead the Zohar prayer,but as i was musafir and had to offer Qasar namaz i asked and an old Haji Sahab to lead the prayers.This Haji sahab was a Mua'zzin at Masjid of Qutub-e-Shimoga.He served the Masjid & Dargah for around 20 years when there was nothing,no roads no lights.He told that he used to start to Masjid around 4am everyday from Ragigudda to reach the Masjid on time.Once he was sleeping at Masjid he saw a buzurg who was wearing jhubba & imama shareef,he couldnt see his face but thinks he was nothing but the Qutub of Shimoga Hazrat Shah Aleem Diwan.He saved money from his minute salary and went to Haj in 2008.This shows Sarkar AlaihHisSalam calls whomsover he wants.Haji Sahab's one son is in Dubai and other is a Gold Medalist and working as a Gazetted officer near Hubli.

It was raining,Taj who resides just next to Masjid,who arranged our breakfast for all 3 days,gave me an umbrella & came with me till bus stop,as it was sunday we couldnt find any bus,hence i took the Auto,when i sat inside Taj paid the bill to driver in advance,though i kept on telling him that i would pay him.I was moved by this act,Taj left school after 7th and works as a Cardboard painter in city.His other two brothers are studying,on in 12th and other in 9th.

I reached Jamia before Asar,Maulana Zaki Ahmad Saquafi asked me to get a passport size photo to be pasted on certificate and sent a boy with me.The boy took me to the a small house,a very small house of 2 rooms.The room was filled with big photos of Hindu gods & photographers photo with film actors.The lady was sleeping,she came out,swithced on the PC,later her husband came spread the white cloth behind me,took my photograph and printed it on Kodak printer.I was amazed at this minute photo studio.

After Asar,I went inside Jamia.The students getting dastar,where getting dressed.Their parents and relatives had come to view the thier child's achievments and dastarbandi.Others were getting ready for forthcoming vacations,as Jamia closes for vacation after Dastarbandi.To prevent students running from Jamia before Dastarbandi all of thier boxes were put in a room and room was locked!My parents couldnt come,they couldnt come even when i finished my Engineering at NIT Hamirpur 4 years back.Even the muballigeens where caught in rain while coming from Terikere.I changed to a white Kurta Pajama.

After Magrib,Mufti MasroofulIslam gave introdution to Imam Bukhari & Bukhari Shareef,then Chief guest Mufti AmanurRab Sahab Qibla started the ceremony of Khatme Bukhari Shareef.He read the last hadees of Bukhari shareef and explained its significance.He explained why Imam Bukhari described the Hadees of Niyat in 1st Chapter and Hadees of Tasbeeh as last hadees.He said just like Shab-e-Qadr,Tahajuddud & Khatme Quran are the ocassions when Dua's are speacially accepted,Khatme Bukhari also holds the same status.I was looking back again and again for Muballigeens,but couldnt find them.After Khatm,ijtimayi duwa was done,I also prayed for well biend of duniya & aakhirat for me my family & people I know.I prayed that I remain in madni mahaul of Dawat-e-Islami till my last breath.Thank god at last Muballigheens reached the Jamia Masjid & joined the Mahfil of Khatme Bukhari!

After the ceremony,Dinner was arranged by Jamia and everybody was invited.Then we offer Eisha prayers.Initially a muballigh from SDI read few naats and then ceremony of Dastarbandi formally started.All the graduating students were called to office to change to gown.I was only Fazilat (PG Student) i was given Jhubba and students of Alimiyat & Hifz were given white jhubba.I was called to give bayan,I gave english speech on Fazail of Ilme & Ulema,After me a Mufti Sahab,then Allama Nasir Raza Khan Sahab gave speech and at last Muqarrir-e-Khususi,Khatib-ul-Hind Mufti AmanurRab Sahab started his taqreer.In his taqreer he explained the deviant beliefs of Wahabi/deobandi.He chose his taqreer topic as Waseela, alhumdulillah he delivered a wonderfull speech for more an hour.After Speech Dastarbandi started I was called first,Mufti AmanurRab Sahab asked me to recite darood Shareef and tied the Dastar around my head by his blessed hands,gave me the Sanad & certificates,then Dastarbandi to other farigs & Huffazs were done.After Dastarbandi people stated coming and congratulating the graduates.I was waiting from my people,my dawat-e-Islami muballigheens.Alhumdulillah they also came,did mu'aanqa,tried kissing my hand,but i pulled it back.It is when i felt sukoon.As the Imama tied was loose,Nadir Attari bhai tied the imama again a fresh,so i had dastarbandi again with a Dawat-e-Islami Muballigh!

After ceremony i met Mufti Masood Aalam Sahab,kissed his hands and asked permission to leave.We couldn't visit the dargah of Qutub-e-Shimoga Shah Aleem Deewan due to busy schedule & rains,Hence we thought of doing it now,we started walking towards Dargah shareef it was 1:30am in night.We reached the dargah,it was closed hence we recited the Fatiha from outside and started towards Ragigudda.Fortunately we got an Auto,but he was charging very high,we told him we can pay only 50 rupees he kept on refusing but at last accepted and we reached Ragigudda around 2am.We arranged our things as we had our train at 6:25 am in morning.After offering Fajr,I thanked Maulana Hamid for all his help and hospitality and we left for Railway station.The train started at correct time and we reached Bangalore around 12 pm.

My teacher Mufti Muhammed Ali couldnot reach Shimoga as his wife was very ill.He told me that he wanted to see dastar-e-Fazilat bieng given to me as i was his roohani son.May ALLAH azzawajal make him succeed in this world and after he also sacrificed very much for my studies.Whenever I had problem attending classes in Morning he called me in nights at his home,Whenever I got busy in official meetings at night he was ready to teach me in morning.I still remember how he taught me all these years sometime in Jamia Nooria,then in Masjid-e-Noor then Masjid-e-Khizr ,his home and Dargah.May ALLAH accept all of his hardwork to make me an Aalim:Aameen.

My Mufti course will be starting after Ramzan at Markazi Idara-e-Sharia,Jamia Bila,Bangalore under Mufti Muhammed Aslam Misbahi Sahab.May ALLAH help me to finished Ifta course also:Aameen.


Alhumdulillah,One more madni bahar got added to Dawat-e-Islami's Madni mahaul's barkat.

Anjuman Tahaffuze Iman - Fitna spreading group from Barielly

In the recent days,voices against DI has reached its peak.With fatwas issued from few self claimed Darul Ifta's regarding deviation of DI & have been published both on net and posters.

Dawat-e-Islami was formed in 1981 at Babul Madina. It’s around 20 years now since the formation of Dawat-e-Islami and in these 20 years DI was always surrounded with issues, unfortunately created by so called 'Sunni' people. These so called 'Sunni' tried their best to stop the Madni propagation of DI, but Alhumdulillah by the grace of ALLAH azzawajal & his beloved Rasool (peace be upon him) were never able to stop it.

People like Saeed Hasan published booklets 'Dawat-e-Islami ke Qadam wahabiyat ki janib kyun?';'Dawat-e-Islami se parhez kyun?' quoting forged letters of Ameer-e-AhleSunnat,in order to prove that Dawat-e-Islami subscribes to Wahabism. Some top cleric also issued fatwa against DI and later after learning about the forgery of Saeed Hasan revoked the fatwa;Mufti of Darul Ifta Barielly Qazi AbdulRahim Bastwi,accused Saeed hasan of blasphemy and asked him to do open tauba to public,but he never did it.
Instead of doing tauba he published another book called 'Iblis Ka Raqs' with Mufti Akhtar Raza Khan's name on the front cover, but this propaganda was again cracked when Mufti Aktar Raza Sahab himself told in his online Q&A session of 7th Feb 2010 that he never wrote this book and don’t even know the contents of the Book! (www.jamaiturraza.com/live at 33 min).Shameless Saeed Hasan was strongly asked by Allama Arshadul Qadri no to propogate any ill things about DI saying "if DI is Wahabi I am the first Wahabi because I was one of them who made DI"

May ALLAH curse the liars.

Some of Indian clerics, after doing erroneous self investigation about DI said that DI is Wahabism based. Unfortunately they forgot that they should first ask the Ulema of the place where DI was formed i.e. Babul Madina.All the top ulema of birth place of DI like Allama Shah Ahmad Noorani,Allma Saeed Ahmad Kazmi,Allama Turabul Haq Qadri,Allama Faiz Ahmad Owaisi,Allama Shafi Okarvi endorsed DI.
Khateeb-e-AhleSunnat Allama Shafi Okarvi himself gave his Jamia Masjid,Gulzar-e-Habeeb, for Dawat-e-Islami work.Ameer-e-AhleSunnat is the only Khalifa of Muft-e-Azam Mufti Waqaruddin Razwi in world. So if their self investigation regarding DI is correct, the influence of Wahabism should come back to these top Sunni Ulemas too (may ALLAH forbid).

Top Indian scholars also favored DI like Mufti Shareeful Haq Amjadi,Allama Arshadul Qadri,Allama Hashmi Miyan,Allama Madni Miyan etc. Top Sunni institute of Sunni world Jamia Ashrafia Mubarakpur fully supports Dawat-e-Islami and its work till now.Head of Talimi Darul Ifta,Bareilly Mufti Muhammed Azam Sahab wrote taqreez on latest book of Ameer-e-AhleSunnat 'Kufriya Kalimat ke bare mien Sawal jawab' and praised Ameer-e-AhleSunnat for his book. If DI is really Wahabism based would ever these high profile scholars would support it? Never instead their support to DI & its work shows that they fully favor it.

There were some ulema who initially gave fatwa against DI and later came back saying DI is sunni group.A top Mufti Sahab wrote taqreez on text book of DI Faizan-e-Sunnat and now again turned back saying "DI originated from Jamat-e-Islami!".Mufti Sahab please make up your mind and say a single statement,changing the fatwa again and again is not the practice of AhleSunnat ulema.Some said that I would call Maulana Ilyas Qadri a sunni even in dark night now same person is saying that DI was founded with the principles of not celebrating MeeladunNabi;Juloos & Urs!In this world of Information technology does it takes this much large time of 10-15 years to know about a world wide movement?

I happened to see the database of Anjuman Tahaffuze Sunniyat(ATS) who claim to save the iman of Sunni's by creating hatred between the Sunnis in India.They are not Anjuman Tahaffuze Sunniyat but Anjuman Nashr-e-Shaitaniyat.Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him ) said : Fitna sleeps may ALLAH curse who raise it.This hadees clearly implies towards the work of ATS.Initially they published books like 'Dawat-e-Islami ke Qadam wahabiyat ki taraf kyun?' which contained forged references to DI and Ameer-e-AhleSunnat.But Alhumdulillah Darul Ifta,Barielly Shareef issued fatwa against the engineer who forged the data,as he could not provide sharai witness to prove his point.(Mazloom Muballigh(www.faizaneattar.net )).Yes,some Ulema are against TV movie,but does it means that other Ulema who allow TV/movie are out of fold of Sunnism?Great ulema like

• Gazali-e-Dauran Allama Saeed Ahmad Kazmi Sahab,
• Khateeb-e-AhleSunnat Allama Shafii Okarvi,
• Qaid-e-AhleSunnat Shah Ahmad Noorani,
• Faqeeh-e-Azam Hind Mufti Sharif-ul-haq Amjadi
• Raees-ul-Qalam Allama Arshadul Qadri

said that TV/Movie is valid for religious activities.Instead many of the above Ulema's videos can be found at www.youtube.com.

Recently I had a talk with a Mufti Sahab in Bangalore(Mufti Sahab is mureed of Mufti-e-Azam Hind) in his home regarding validity of use of TV/Video for the propagation of deen.Mufti Sahab spoke strongly against it and said that Mufti Mutee-ur-Rehman's* fatwa that TV/Video is ja'iz for propagation of deen is invalid and I have written a big article against it referring Fatawa Razwiya which would be printed in Mahnama Ashrafia & Jaam-e-Noor.Same time when the Mufti sahab was giving this verdict parallely his children and wife were watching ZEE TV on 21 inch color TV in thier 1 room house.

Another Maulana,who is against TV/Movie and hence against DI.Once came to my home watched some Munazra's and speeches of Allama Irfan Hussain Shah Sahab and asked me to give him a copy of VCD's.Later he called a person to his room which is inside Masjid and watched it in his laptop.

Recently a Mufti who is strongly against TV/Movie & DI was asked,if the TV/Video is haraam then why you perform nafil Haj/Umra and tours of countries even after knowing that everywhere from Airport to the room the videos are captured.To this Mufti sahab said all sort of things but DIDN'T answer the question.

Honorable head of a prominent Islamic university in Kerala,Markaz Saqafiya,who has always been in favor of photos and videos and deem it totally permissible,is specially invited to barielly shareef every year during the Urs of Alahazrat for speech.

With all these fatwas and speeches against DI do we need to fear anything?

No,not at all.We should continue to work and do the tableegh & Dawah work.Alhumdulillah even after these fatwas/speeches the work of DI has been increasing,the people attending ijtimas of DI is increasing every year,number of people joining the madni mahaul is increasing day by day,the number of qafilas,chawk dars,madni work recently a 1 day Ijtima by Dawat-e-Islami at Kolar(around 50 Km from Bangalore City) attracted more than 700 people from around the cities.More than 300 people sat in Dawat-e-Islami's Aitkaaf in Ramazn, more than 50 people travel in madni qafila every months in a city.Alhumdulillahi ala zalika

So what should be done?Below are some of my nakis mashwara's,which i think can be used to tackle this situation:

1. Don't listen to the craps,let them do whatever they want.We know that we are Sunni,we follow Maslak-e-Aalahazrat and have firm belief on AhleSunnat's aquaid.Our ALLAH & his Prophet knows we are sunni.We donot require any ones certificate,from anywhere, to tell us weather we are sunni or not.

2. Have a strong Qufl-e-Madina of Tongue.Let them say whatever bad they can say about our tahreek,we should never reply them,we should do sabr and enjoy the Aj'r.Though it is very difficult to remain silent when some body is blaming Ameer-e-AhleSunnat or our beloved tahreek,but still we will have to be quiet.Remember Ameer-e-AhleSunnat says that every sunni is crown of our head. If there is any fight,never hit back instead refer to law authorities if required.

3. Always give full respect to even those ulema/masha'ikh who are against Dawat-e-Islami.They are ulema and crown of our head,whatever they are,they are heirs of Prophet's knowledge,they be accountable for their deeds on the day of Qayamat.It is farz to give respect to them.Our Peer Ameer-e-AhleSunnat has given us tarbiyat like this,let them do whatever tarbiyat they got from their peers.

4. Now,do the madni work with zeal and enthusiasm more than the past.If we used to spend 2 hours in madni works then now we should spend 4 hours in madni work,initiate the madni work in the areas which we didnt reach mainly due to carelessness.If you have 2 days leave,try to spend one full day for Dawat-e-Islami.Do ilaqayi daura and masjid bayan.

5. Increase the number of madni qafilas,make sure that zimmedars are travelling in madni qafila's.If there is a qafila without ameer,distribute it to islamic brothers such that 3 islamic brothers can guide a 3 day qafila with 1 muballigh per day.

6. Present Ulema,the big books published by Maktabat-ul-Madina like Bahar-e-Shariat,Ao'unul Hikayat,Malfoozat Aalahazta etc and Fatawa razawiya software CD.This will make them understand the work of Dawat-e-Islami for the propagation of deen.

7.
